‘King’ Black Panther Dies Due To Colon Cancer

Chadwick Boseman a.k.a Black Panther. The iconic actor who brought King T’Challa of Marvel Cinematic Universe to life passed away, at the age of 43, this Friday of Cancer. 2020 is only growing to become one of the saddest years of my life.

He died beside his family in his house in Los Angeles. Calling him a “fighter” the family shared this News and requested to respect their privacy in these difficult times.

His Publicist Nicki Fioravante told the Associated Press.

Chadwick died due to Colon Cancer that he was diagnosed with 4 years ago. Back in 2016, he found out that he is suffering from Colon Cancer stage III. He fought his battle well and finally, peace came to him with Colon Cancer StageIV. However, to be honest I did not feel like he had the disease on any of his interviews or movies. He was fighting the disease while putting on a joyful face. It is as hard as it sounds. Moreover, he never spoke of his disease publicly. Perhaps he did not want the people to show sympathy, he just wanted it to be fair and square. A graceful man indeed.

He truly was a king and not just in the movies. Did you know that Chadwick acted in about 7 movies while being treated for the disease? From Marshall to Da 5 Bloods, August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black bottom and several more were filmed while he went through surgeries and Chemotherapy.

It was an honor for him as well as us that he got to bring T’Challa to life. On his demise, Hollywood has shown their grief. Here are a few statements from them.

Jordan Peele writes, ” This is a Crushing Blow.”

Nia DaCosta, a fellow director wrote, ” I’ll miss waiting to see what he does next. Rest In Power”

You will be remembered, King. Rest In Peace!
