“The Last Campfire,” a new adventure game from “No Man’s Sky” creators Hello Games, is the latest arrival on the Apple Arcade game-subscription service.
“The Last Campfire” is about a lost ember trapped in a puzzling place, searching for meaning and a way home. The game invites the player to “travel deeper into the lands beyond the dark forest and overcome the adversities before you.”
Here’s the promotional trailer for the game.
As you can see for yourself, the graphics are quite nice and atmospheric. I’m especially liking the gorgeous wilderness filled with lost folk, strange creatures, mysterious ruins and what not.
“The Last Campfire” is available for free across the iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV with an Apple Arcade subscription. Versions for other platforms, including Steam, Nintendo Switch, Sony PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Xbox One are available, too.

Apple Arcade is a video game-subscription service that provides more than a hundred games in exchange for five bucks per month (a free one-month trial is available). The majority of titles are Apple Arcade exclusives and playable across the iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV.
All Apple Arcade titles work without an Internet connection, serve no ads, include no in-app purchases and sync progress across devices via iCloud. The service supports the Family Sharing feature allowing a single subscription to be shared with a family of six.
