Algoriddim launches Neural Mix Pro, a new Mac app for AI-based music editing

[ad_1]

German developer Algoriddim, which creates the djay apps for DJ-ing, today launched a brand new app which promises to equip producers, DJs and musicians of all skill levels with artificial intelligence (AI)-based music editing.

The new app, dubbed Neural Mix Pro, lets Mac owners extract instrumentals and acapellas of any song that’s locally saved on the device. Thanks to artificial intelligence, your Mac can extract beat-precise vocal, instrument or beat loops from songs. You can then use these song or instrument snippets in other music-making apps.

According to Algoriddimg, the app leverages Apple’s Core ML technology to separate vocals, drums and instruments in real-time. You can mute individual vocal and instrumental tracks of a song, time-stretch tempo (uses the élastique Pro V3 engine) and even transpose to a different key — again, all these features work in real time.

Check out the video demonstration embedded below.

Additional features of the app include:

  • Offline export: Neural Mix Pro’s advanced offline export allows users to extract acapellas and instrumentals in pristine sound quality, for use in their favorite DJ or music production software.
  • Loop editor: Loop Editor functionality enables users to extract and export beat-matched vocal, percussive, or harmonic loops; trim audio tracks to an exact region or sample, and export loops into a range of file formats.
  • Music browser: The built-in Music Browser provides users with flexible track sorting options, via Music and Finder integration. The multi-track export allows you to select entire folders or playlists for a batch export of instrumentals and acapellas.
  • AI music player: Neural Mix Pro’s AI music player provides the ability to change the key and tempo of songs, and to isolate and mute individual instruments, allowing users to play along with their favorite tracks

The software is backed by some high-profile names in the music industry, including iconic producer Pete Rock and musicians and producers Kanye West, Jay Z, Nas, Rakim and Run-D.M.C.

Neural Mix Pro for Mac is available free in the Mac App Store.

In order to unlock advanced features, you’ll need to upgrade to the Pro version via a one-time in-app purchase of $49.99.
