Demon Lord, Retry is a Japanese light novel series. Kurone Kanzaki and Koji Ogata respectively wrote and illustrated the series. Shosetsuka ni Naro, a user, generated novel publishing website broadcasted the serialization of the show in 2016. Afterwards, Futabasha in 2017 continues the progression of the serial. The J-Novel club allowed the permission for adaptation for the manga series in English.
Demon Lord Retry or more precisely Maou Sama Retry with its first season got released on July 4, 2019, and continued up to September. It is the adaptation of the 3 volume light novel series. Although it has received positive reviews from the critics, it falls on the average category when the question asks for best anime series. So there are a lot of things to modify and work on for which the second season is necessary. As the novel contains only three volumes, so the release of the second season is less likely right now. Also, the making of the first one was not a big deal for them. But the future holds many changes. From the last season, which was the first one of the series, we might predict few things that may happen in 2nd season. Last season showed us that Hakuto left his village of Rabi to travel to North. He wanted to go to an adventure. Now he is eyeing for the weapons which can fight the magic. But everything got complicated when the Demon Lord encounters a hero. After waking up in a new world, now it became challenging for Hakuto already. The season will be a plot to see how does he manage to handle every circumstance there. Also, he has now his dual character. One, his own and another is of Demon Lord. The new world seems slightly different from the actual world. So he might face hurdles. Again we saw that Hatuko saved a city by preventing a reverse invasion. Then he enters into a territory to unwind the sociological mystery of the world. By solving such problems, he is adapting new features for his characters which might help him to search the weapon. Season 2 may take a significant part involving this issue. Also, a report goes out that a former vest friend of Luna has turned into a slave. So it might be an exciting thing to see if Luna could save her best friend or not.
The story revolves around a game which has a limited existence for continuing. Akira Ono was the creator of this. But at the moment Akira turns into a game’s character which is of Hakuto Kunai. Hakuto Kunai is the main hero as well as the main character of the fantasy world that Akuro has to deal now. Now he has become the creator of the game whom Aku decides to help. On the one hand, some want him to come for the conservation of them. On the other hand, some of the citizens want him to get killed. As the story progresses, we see that a Demon suddenly appears and attacks Akuro and Hakuto. The Demon Lord destroyed him. But Demon Greol was alive again, and his anger was so terrible that the villagers got frightened. The place becomes deserted, and water becomes poisoned. Aku tells him about the three saints of that fantasy world. Hakuto received a ring from a statue in Shrine of Wishes. His main aim was to go back to home irrespective of how difficult it was. Akuro decides to accompany the Demon Lord. Akuro, meanwhile, has shared a lot of things to Hakuto whom she has started to believe. The three saints rush to destroy Demon Lord who does not fault at all. This storyline is all the things that have happened in the first season.
