Have you ever saw a series with a great motivating and funny imaginary friend that, too, through the mind of an angry drunk man? Well then, Happy is the right series for you. Home to Syfy’s network, Happy is a dark comedy portraying a detective turn hitman and his imaginary friend, Happy. Happy featured casts such as Christopher Meloni, Patton Oswalt, etc. in the leading role. The series also took over the audience when it first released and also got good ratings and reviews. Now, let’s get to know everything about its third season and the series’s future if it is ever coming back or not.
Renewal Status and Release Date: Happy Season 3
Happy came back for its second season, seeing the good reviews and ratings of the first season. Its renewal took way back in the January of 2018 and aired the second season one year later from March to May of 2019. It is rather disappointing news for the audiences that Happy is not returning after its second season. The series did not do much well for its second season, which leads to its cancellation. Also, cancellation took place for many other series along with Happy. But, the series is getting shipped to many other networks for airing. If any network or streaming ever wants to pick it up, the series may renew. Since the series is not continuing for another season, there is no release date until now.
Cast: Happy Season 3
Happy may feature cast Christopher Meloni, Bryce Lorenzo, Ritchie Coster, Christopher Fitzgerald, Lili Mirojnick, Patton Oswalt, Medina Senghore, and Patrick Fischler in the leading role if it ever returns. They portrayed Nick Sax, Hailey Louise Hansen, Francisco Mr Blue, Louis Sheinberg, Meredith “Merry” McCarthy, Happy, Amanda Hansen, Smoothie, or The Bunny. There were also appearances of recurring characters that may again find their place for the third season, such as Joseph D. Reitman, Antonia Rey, Debi Mazar, Jaimie Kelton, Laura Poe, and Laura Darrell. If the series came back for another season, there might be various other new cast members’ appearance.
Plotline: Happy Season 3
There is no fixed, determined plotline for season three of Happy, with the series not continuing. But, there are plenty of areas left for exploration with many loose ends in the last season. There are also no hints or any news about additional plotlines. The series will return with Nick’s adventures and his imaginary blue unicorn with humour and fun. Audiences, until then, can explore all its previous seasons.
Future: Happy Season 3
The future of season three of Happy is looking bleak as of now with renewal. Until then, fans can only wish for some good news for one more season, giving everyone an excellent end. There is an online petition on the change.org website asking Netflix by fans to save the series by making it an original series of the streaming service. It is yet to see what they hold in the future for the show.
