If you are a manga reader, then you must have read hyouka. If you’ve read, it’s the first season and is waiting for its second season’s update. Then you are at the right spot. The whole anime is focused on high school life with added mystery. Hyouka is a simple anime which makes it a little interesting to read.

Anime version of hyouka is adopted from the novel. Series of  ‘Classic Literature Club’ written by Honobu Yonezawa. Six novels had been published out of which 4 have been adopted in anime.

It’s been 8 years when the first season of hyouka ended. After completion of its first season in 2012 fans are waiting desperately for the second season. Ever since its first season, there has no news about season 2.

Hyouka: Release Date

It feels a bit sad to say. But from the leaks, we’ve got. We suggest you not to get your hopes up high. The writer, Mr yonezawa, didn’t give any signs of the second season.

There’s very little chance that the second season of hyouka might show up. Personally speaking, I don’t think season 2 will show up. In an interview, Mr yonezawa got questions about the second season of hyouka. He clearly stated that he isn’t much interested in the second season of hyouka, so there are very little chances.

You might get a shock reading this, but the creators of the hyouka are dead already. Yes, you read it right. From the news that we have, it says that arson was planned, which burned the entire animation studio and took away the life of 27 people, including Mr yonezawa.

After some years later, another animation company said that they would like to continue hyouka further. So that’s the only hope for hyouka.

So all in all currently there is no release date available for the second season of Hyouka. But slightest chances are that release may take place in 2021.

Hyouka: Plot

The main character Houtarou Oreki is a teen adolescent who is too lazy. Despite being intelligent, he doesn’t like to use his energy. He even cares nothing about what’s going on around him. Houtarou is an emotionless and expressionless teen who prefers being alone all time.

Houtarou Oreki is forced by his sister to join classics literature club of Kamiyama high school. In Kamiyama high school he meets Eru Chitanda, Satoshi Fukube, and Mayaka Ibara the other three main characters. These four young teens form a group where they solve the mysteries that lie around the classics literature club.

At first, Oreki demonstrated a great deal of opposition towards being a part of anything. Gradually he is attracted towards solving mysteries. And eventually tries to take the initiative to solve some of the mysteries on its own. Eventually, his friendship with Eru Chitanda, Satoshi Fukube, and Mayaka Ibara grows deeper.

Changes in the ending of season 1:

 When season 1 came about to end, we get to see some major changes in the anime. Our main hero Houtarou Oreki is changed completely and chooses to enjoy life. Satoshi Fukube is changed completely, and both Satoshi and Mayaka express their feelings to each other in the least episode. Eru chooses to go in Science major while Houtarou chooses to be in literature.

Hyouka Characters :

Houtarou Oreki

Houtarou Oreki is a passionless secondary school adolescent.  Shows no interest in his surroundings. He is an emotionless lazy boy with no expressions on his face. Regardless of being so innocent and hesitant about everyone around him, Oreki has insanely mastered deduction skills.

He doesn’t like to use his energy on others. He is so smart and skilful that when he joins the group, he alone is a noteworthy resource to the group than all of the other members combined. Sometimes he takes a step in and solves away most minimal his own.

Eru Chitanda

President of the classics literature club she is a student of Kamiyama high school. Despite being very energetic, she is calm and rejoicing person.

Becomes over exaggerated when things related to the club are involved. And she is the one who involves club getting involved in solving mysteries.

She is known for her beauty and her purple eyes. She can attract almost anyone towards her due to her sweet nature. Despite being the daughter of one of the richest families in the region, she is mostly seen in her school uniform with her black hair which she never ties.

Satoshi Fukube

Satoshi is known for his intelligence. He has quite strong memory power and is an active student. Despite being a member of the school’s Classic Literature Club, he is also a member of Handicraft Club and Executive Club.

Because Satoshi is too talented, he sometimes ends up doing something stupid.

Mayaka Ibara

Mayaka is the key member of the library club. She loves to read Manga and treats everyone around her with a strict nature. She never keeps things to herself. The only reason she joined classics literature club is because of her interest in Fukube.
