There are movies or series made featuring what will happen if a person ever makes full use of their brain capacity. Lucy and Limitless was one such movie, which ruled the cinematic world after its release. A series, based on the movie Limitless also got made. Now, ever since the ending of the first season, all audiences have been wondering and demanding a second season.

Limitless series features casts such as Jake McDorman, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, Jennifer Carpenter, etc. The show telecast on the network of CBS and also on the Netflix streaming service. Now, let’s get familiar with all the details as to whether the series Limitless is returning for season two or not.

Renewal and Release Date: Limitless Season 2

Limitless ran from September to April of 2015. However, the series is not coming back again for another season. It got cancelled despite it being well received. There is no possibility of coming back again until some other platforms take over the series. Moreover, the series is also removed recently from Netflix after four years of premiering. There is no streaming that took over the series although the producer did go to find some before its cancellation. Since the series did not make a debut for another season, there is no official date of release for the same.

Reasons for Cancellation: Limitless Season 2

No official statement or reason got stated for regarding the cancellation of Season 2. However, according to rumours, CBS were reluctant to air it again due to its portrayal of a drug. Also, the series failed to garner the attention of the adults. Despite everything, the showrunners took it other streaming platforms in the hope of getting a second season. But, no one took it over for another season. It may be due to the ground that legal controversies were surrounding the show.

Cast: Limitless Season 2

There is no official fixed cast for season 2 as the show is not coming back. However, if it renewal takes place ever, it may feature the casts from the previous season. It included Jake McDorman, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, Jennifer Carpenter, and Hill Harper in the leading role of Brian Finch, Nareen Pouran, Rebecca Harris, and Spelman Boyle. Recurring casts included Bradley Cooper, Henry Gagilardi, Analeigh Tipton, Micahael Devine, Ron Rifkin, Georgina Haig, Blair Brown, Desmond Harrington, Megan Guinan, Colin Salmon, Toom Degnan, and Micahel James Shaw. There may also be the inclusion of other new members if the show ever returns.

Plotline: Limitless Season 2

The first season of Limitless followed the storyline after the events of the film. There was a plan for making some changes in the second season but not a complete deviation from the original plotline. A whole lot of the second season would have changed with the public knowledge about the drug and missing of Morra. However, there are fewer chances of the series ever appearing or happening again as most of the giant streaming platforms already rejected the show. There was also a revival campaign trending on Twitter for the show. But, no action on it has taken place yet.
