StartUp is a thriller drama web series, of American origin. It first premiered on Crackle, 6TH September 2016. Ben Ketai is the creator of the web drama show. The series consists of three seasons, with the latest season airing on November 1, 2018. Each season consists of 10 episodes each. StartUp, was one of the most hit shows of Sony’s streaming network Crackle. Later on, it was available on Amazon Prime Video as well.
Unfortunately, the series was not well received among the critics. But among the viewers, the series became a huge hit. After the premiere of season 1, Sony, compelled to renew the show for another season. And thus, the streaming platform blessed the audience with two more seasons. Since then, fans believe that the show will have season 4 as well. But even after two years of the last season, we have no news regarding another season.
Season 3 of StartUp received a renewal after a month and a half after season 2 aired. While season 2 premiered on Sony Crackle on September 28, 2017, and Season 3 got a green signal in mid-November of 2017. But since two years have passed, the creators are surely not following the same pattern.
Although we have some hope, since the series did not receive a cancellation, we’re hoping the series will be picked up by a different streaming platform. We can owe it to the popularity of the show for the surety of an upcoming season. It is unlikely that the show will grace screens with season 4 anytime soon due to the current pandemic. The soonest we can hear of renewal is 2021, but we’re only guessing!
If the series is to return for season 4, we’re hoping the entire cast to reprise their roles. The cast from the previous seasons include:
Season 3 of StartUp ended on a gripping note. The finale wasn’t a cliffhanger, but it surely keeps the viewers on the edges of their seats, looking forward to more. Although in the previous season, Martin freeman was absent throughout, and genuinely, if season 4 is in the making, we’re hoping to see him on our screens. In the last shot of season 3, we witnessed the three carrying the body of Rebecca to s deserted area, while on the other hand, worried about the mental state of Nick.
Season 3, also witnessed the absence of Phil Rask. According to fans, Martin freeman and Phil Rask were one of the best parts of the series. The ending of season 3, is surprising and sets a storyline for season 4. That is if there will be one. For that, we’ll have to wait and watch!
The series follows the introduction of a controversial yet exciting tech idea of GenCon, a digital currency. But unfortunately, the idea sparked at the wrong side of town, among three individuals. Individuals do not fit together. The outrageous notion also aroused the suspicion of the FBI.
