Sweet Magnolias Season 2: Release Date On Netflix

Sweet Magnolias, the drama series based on the book by Sheryl Woods. Revolving around the lives of three best friends the show deals with the complications of balancing love, family, and career. It premiered in May this year and was well-received by the audience. Soon after, in July it was renewed for the second season. Well, that doesn’t come with much of a surprise to me. As the plot of the story suggests that there has to be a second season. The real question is, When?

Well, we do not have a release date yet. However, we do know about at least for how long will we have to wait. As the filming takes place in Georgia, which is not safe right now. We are certain that the production won’t begin until it is safe to do so. So, we can say that Sweet Magnolias won’t be coming at least until fall 2021. That’s the earliest it can be released, given that writers are already working on the scripts.

Well, given that the first season ended on such a cliffhanger, it is obvious that fans would be eager to know about the second season. Sheryl J Anderson, the showrunner brought some insight into where the second season could lead to.

First of all, she confirmed that almost all the characters that we have come to love will make it to the second season. However, there certainly will be some twists and turns that might surprise even the book lovers of the series. Further, they are planning to take the characters in unexpected directions. Well, that was kind of already planned even before the show was renewed for the second season.

In a twisted form, she revealed that the three friends are going to disagree, although all of them just want the right thing for each other. The thing is, that the definition of ‘right’ might differ from person to person. So, we might get to see some unexpected twists and turns.
