Everyone watches horror theme movies and shows the difference is that some get scared and some do not ( let me tell you the truth, we all get afraid of them, but some are good at acting). So, are you fond of scary movies and shows? I am, and if you are ready to join the parade, then I have an excellent suggestion for your this year Halloween celebration. You can give a try to the Haunting series of Netflix if you haven’t yet. Mike Flanagan made sure that we get a full horror experience of a haunted house through his creation. There are two seasons of the show till now, namely The Haunting of Hill House and The Haunting of Bly Manor.
If you have watched it, then I am sure that you are waiting for the next instalment of the series. We know that Bly Manor hit the screens after a long period of two years of the Hill House. So it is quite natural that the third season will be later than that. Why am I saying so? Because Flanagan has a tight schedule for the following year. He will be busy with his other commitments like Midnight Mass which is also a part of Netflix project. As for the renewal status, it is still pending. But I don’t think that the fans need to worry about renewal as the second season topped the streamers list in the US. And it is still early for the revival, but who knows the fate, so fingers crossed. If everything goes as planned, then the production of the third season might start in 2022 (emphasis on “might”).
The previous seasons of the series featured a similar plotline with simple changes. Both of them feature an adaptation of simple ghost stories. As if, a family goes to live in a haunted house. The ghosts in the house start to stir up trouble, and the family gets scared. Later they find a way to stop those ghosts and save themselves. The third season will feature a similar story (just a guess) with a different setting. You can also expect to see some of the original characters and cast ( from the first season who worked in the second one too). But no one knows what the story is going to be, except the high probability of it being an adaption. I think the only thing we want is “horror”.
The first season featured an estranged family who reunites after 26 years of experiencing paranormal occurrences. The story goes like once a happy family moves into a hill house to renovate it for selling, but due to a tragic loss ( caused by supernatural beings), they leave the mansion. In the story of Bly Manor, we see the experience of a governess in the haunted place. A man hires her to look after his nephew and niece. And as soon as the governess enter the Bly Manor, she feels that something is not right.
