Fans are wondering ever since the ending of season 1 of The Promised Neverland that will it return for season 2. The Promised Neverland is an anime of Japan that premiered originally on Fuji TV. It is a science fiction dark fantasy thriller, made from the same name’s manga. Since its debut in 2019, the series received great reviews due to its visuals and art styles.
The Japanese name of the series is Yakusoku no Nebarando. However, season 1 left the viewers in a cliffhanger with the coming of more good adventures. The Promised Neverland originally released in January 2019 and consisted of twelve episodes. It came to Netflix in September 2020 for Latin America, Canada, and the United States. The anime got renewed for another season in March 2019 just days after the release of the first season. But, it originally planned for release in October of this year. However, the same got postponed due to the Pandemic of COVID-19 to January 2021.
The characters got divided into the category of alive, anonymous, anti-heroes, caretakers, deceased, demons, escapees, female, grace field house, humans, male, non-humans, orphans, paradise hideout inhabitants, Ratri clan, shipped out, shelter B06-32 Inhabitants, unknown and villains. Main human characters consist of Norman, Ray, Isabella, Emma, Krone, William Minerva, Phil, Him, Don, Peter Ratri and Mister. Non-human characters include demons, little bunny, and Ayshe’s dogs. Further, other female characters include Conny, Mujika, Sarah, Gilda, and Legravalima. Villians included are previous grandmother, Andrew, Bayon, and Leuvis. Orphans include grace field orphans, glory bell orphans, grand valley orphans, and goodwill ridge orphans.
Season 2 of the series will get picked up right where it left off season 1 and will feature from chapter 38 of the manga, covering 64 more chapters. Furthermore, it will also show all about that happened to Norman. An introduction will take place for various demons such as sonju and Mujika. The Goldy Pond Arc and Search for Minerva Arc will take place in the season 2. Reality will also set in for the kids after their escape as it is not easy to survive in the real world. They will also face more troubles.
A live-action movie from Japan is also in production and on the way for releasing soon. It also differs slightly from the source material in the sense that the characters have aged up a little bit. Another news about the series, announced by Amazon regarding its development as a live-action TV show of America. However, there is not much development of the series, and the reception is also another thing as most of the time western adaptions of such things get mixed reviews. Fans can wait for the release of the movie soon in December.
