Biden’s victory came after more than three days of uncertainty as election officials sorted through a surge of mail-in votes that delayed the processing of some ballots. Biden crossed 270 Electoral College votes with a win in Pennsylvania. However, opponent Donald Trump, however, has refused to concede, saying the “election is far from over” and that he will not “rest until the American People have the honest vote count they deserve and what Democracy demands”.

Prior to the projection, Trump tweeted that he’d won the polls by a big margin. A few hours ago, Biden, in an address to the nation, reached out to the Republicans and said, “We may be opponents, but we’re not enemies.”
