Van Helsing, everyone is quite familiar with the name since when the name Dracula began appearing. The character is represented in different lights throughout history, often as the main villain and archenemy in the life of Dracula. However, the series Van Helsing takes an entirely different turn and features the character as a woman hunting down vampires when they took over the world completely. Van Helsing originally premiered in July 2016 in Syfy Network. Until now, it released four seasons with 52 episodes. The series renewal took place in November 2019 even before the premiering of the fourth season. Premiering for the series was supposed to take place this year with production starting from the beginning of the year. However, production got shut down due to the pandemic which resumed from July 2021. Now, the series expects to get a release by the end of this year or beginning of next year. It will consist of thirteen episodes.
The main characters from the previous season will resume their role in the upcoming season. It will include Kelly Overton as Vanessa Van Helsing, Jonathan Scarfe as Axel Miller, Rukiya Bernard as Doc, Vincent Gale as Flesh, Aleks Paunovic as Julius, Keeya King as Violet, Nicole Munoz as Jack, and Tricia Helfer as Dracula. Supporting casts consists of Kim Coate as Count Dalibor, Ali Liebertas as Nina, and Steve Bacic.
Season 5 will answer all the questions left unanswered from the previous season. There will be a final big confrontation between Van Helsing and Dracula. It will feature if Vanessa and her accomplices were able to come out from the world’s dark plague. There will be making of some disastrous choice by Count Dalibor despite the best intentions of him. Jack, Vanessa, and Violet will try once and for all for bringing an end of the Dark One. They will also have to overcome all the obstacles in their way besides finding ways of escaping.
Van Helsing, set in the future that takes after a post-apocalyptic event where vampires rule the humans. Vanessa Van Helsing plays the leading character role, and she wakes three years after the events of the post-apocalyptic world. Now, everything depends on her to save the world from humans as her blood is unique that can turn humans from vampires. The vampire began targeting her for this reason, and her safety began the main concern for everyone. The rest of the seasons follows her journey to the killings and eradication of vampires from the world.
