Japan is a country that has the responsibility to give us constant entertainment in the form of comics, mangas and anime. And I must say that it never fails in surprising us, do they? Are you into mangas and anime? If you liked watching Death Note, then you will probably love Yona of the Dawn too. Mizuho Kusanagi’s creation Yona of the Dawn (known initially as Akatsuki no Yona) got adapted as an anime by Pierrot Studios. It is an epic fantasy, romance and adventure featuring anime. It’s been over half a decade since we watched the first season of Yona of the Dawn. Now, take a look at what we know about the second season.
Yona of the Dawn season one had a run of six months from 7 October 2014 to 24 March 2015. Japanese networks like Tokyo MX, Sun TV, ATSC, BS 11, RKK and TV Aichi rushed to air the series. Since then we were abandoned to wonder about the second season of Yona of the Dawn. Although the renewal status of the anime still seems pending. But as for the manga, it is still in the run so we can hope that there will be soon some news about the next season.
I am sorry to say that I have got nothing about the plot for you. Those who read my articles would be knowing that I don’t like to give spoilers, but you can read the manga comics if you want the story so badly. But I hope you guys can keep some patience because I am sure that the wait is going to be worth it. There are no official teasers of the second season of anime as the renewal status is still not exact.
Let me get things straight; I am biased towards the story of Yona. The tale is of a fictional kingdom of which Yona is the sole princess. She is determined to get married to her childhood crush but later finds out that he murders her father. She flees from her beloved home along with her best friend, cum bodyguard. The duo turns to the latter’s adopted grandfather who tells them a historical story about dragon warriors. Yona starts a journey to find the warriors so that she can get back home and save her father’s legacy from getting destroyed.
I would like to know if I was successful in persuading you to watch Yona of the Dawn or not. One of the reasons for my bias is that it is a female-oriented anime. What do you think of it? While talking of animes, I think young guys might like to read about Baki Season 3. I would be waiting for you there.
