Now audiences are waiting enthusiastically for the third season ever since the series showed that not only the main character, Penn Badgley but his girlfriend, Victoria Pedretti equally manic and twisted like him. However, Netflix will soon fulfil the demand even though the series ended with an appalling finale. Let’s get to acquainted with all the details and future of the You Season 3.
Release Date and Production: You Season 3
Netflix took over You after it made its debut on the Lifetime Network in 2018. An official teaser accompanied the announcement of the show’s third season via the official Twitter account on January 2020. However, the future season’s release date is uncertain. Initially planned for a release in 2021, but may see a long gap now as the date fixation took place before the happening of the pandemic. Development for the series came to a standstill although it started in February of this year. Reportedly, there was a talk of the crews returning to production in either October or November.
Cast: You Season 3
You Season 3 will see the return of the leading confirmed cast Penn Badgley, Saffrom Burrows and Victoria Pedretti. Additional announcement via Twitter for the joining of three new characters took place on October 16 and October 21. The three new characters are Sherry, Cary, and Matthew played by Shalita Grant, Travis VanWinkle, and Scott Speedman. Showrunner Sera hinted about the possible returning of Jenna Ortega along with some other friends of Love. Sera, in fact, said about the probability of some dead characters making its way again in the show.
Plotline: You Season 3
You season 3 will take a jump from the Caroline Kepnes novels and will have its own made plotline. Season 2 ending itself hinted what may be the plotline for season 3 as Joe finds his next-door- neighbour as the new target. Season 3 may feature a fantastic plotline as Sera said that she has in her mind one great idea that will become the talk of everyone in the room. Joe may also investigate his childhood in season 3 for knowing the reasons as to why he became a sociopath.

Theories and rumours formation takes place after every season in each series as the ending leaves everyone in bewilderment. As such, there are also many theories surrounding the third season of You. Many are wondering if Joe is really the father of Love’s child, or is it someone else. Some even went on to suspect that Milo could be the unborn baby’s father. Fans are also of the opinion that Joe will be outsmarted in his own game by Love. Furthermore, Joe also does not know the true nature of Love and her murders. There is also no full trailer available for the show yet.
